Terms of service

Version: October 28, 2026. Effective date: October 29, 2026.

1. Who we are

Doculane is software operated by Blop Digital LLC, 1881 Middle River Dr, Suite 701, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305, United States. Contact our owner for legal, privacy or service questions at info@doculane.app.

These Terms govern your use of Doculane. By accepting them when creating a workspace or purchasing access, you agree on behalf of yourself or the organization you are authorized to represent. The Privacy policy explains our data practices. The Data processing addendum forms part of these Terms when we process personal information on your organization's behalf.

2. The service and your workspace

Doculane helps businesses request, receive, organize and access documents, manage contacts and teams, and use optional integrations and AI assistance. Features and limits depend on the offer you select. Availability of a page or feature description does not mean a paid subscription or free trial has been activated.

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. Protect your credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. Workspace owners are responsible for invited users, assigned permissions and connected services. Authorized members may access workspace information according to their roles. Removing a member does not erase copies they previously downloaded.

External senders do not need a paid subscription to submit documents. They should verify the recipient and send only material they are authorized to share. Email verification establishes access to a mailbox at that time; it does not establish legal identity, authority, authenticity or legal validity of a document. Doculane does not provide electronic signatures, notarization or legal advice.

3. Your content and acceptable use

You retain ownership of your documents and other content. You give us a limited right to host, transmit and process it to provide and secure Doculane, follow your instructions and meet legal obligations. We do not acquire ownership of your content. We own or license the software, branding and service documentation.

You are responsible for the information you request or upload, the permissions and notices required to handle it, and the decisions made using it. Do not use Doculane for unlawful activity, spam, impersonation, malware, infringement, unauthorized disclosure or attempts to bypass access controls, quotas or security. Do not submit payment-card security codes or complete card credentials. Do not use the service for protected health information requiring a HIPAA business associate agreement unless we have separately signed that agreement and confirmed support for that use.

Technical file validation is not a guarantee that content is safe, accurate, authentic or malware-free. Keep independent copies of important records and meet your own recordkeeping obligations. Doculane is not a guaranteed archival or disaster-recovery service.

4. Confidentiality, teams and optional features

We restrict access to nonpublic customer information to personnel and providers who need it for service delivery, authorized support, security or legal obligations and are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations. You must protect nonpublic information you access through the service. These duties do not apply to information lawfully public or independently obtained without a confidentiality restriction.

Connecting Google Drive authorizes the selected copying workflow. Copies already transferred to Drive remain under your control there; disconnecting Drive or deleting a Doculane file does not delete them. Other providers' terms apply to their services.

AI assistance is optional and requires each user's activation. Questions and relevant workspace metadata are processed by OpenAI; the current assistant does not read or upload document contents. Information you type can itself contain personal or confidential data. You can turn off AI data sharing for your account, and an owner or administrator can pause AI for the workspace in Usage. This stops new AI requests; it does not recall processing already started or automatically erase previous chats. AI responses may be inaccurate. Verify them before relying on them.

5. Plans, payments and renewal

For purchases offered through Paddle, Paddle is our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. You purchase from the Paddle entity identified at checkout; Blop Digital LLC provides Doculane. Paddle handles payment collection, applicable transaction taxes, receipts and billing administration. We do not receive full payment-card details.

The price, currency, billing interval, included limits and any trial conditions are shown before purchase. Recurring subscriptions renew for the same billing interval unless canceled before renewal. By completing recurring checkout, you authorize Paddle to collect the disclosed recurring charges. Any conversion from a trial to a paid plan must be disclosed before enrollment. We do not promise a trial that is not included in your offer.

Your purchase is also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. Those terms govern the transaction with Paddle; these Terms govern use of Doculane. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected. Changes to future prices or renewal conditions will be communicated before they apply, with an opportunity to cancel. Failed payments may lead to service restrictions or suspension after applicable notices; they do not themselves constitute a request to delete your documents.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Cancel a Paddle subscription using the management link in your Paddle purchase email or Paddle's buyer support. You can also contact info@doculane.app for help. Unless the checkout offer, Paddle or applicable law provides otherwise, cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

To request a refund, contact Paddle with your purchase email and transaction reference, or contact us for assistance. Refund eligibility and processing follow Paddle's Refund Policy, the offer accepted at checkout and applicable law. Cancellation alone does not automatically refund an already paid period. We do not offer an additional blanket money-back guarantee; any additional guarantee must be stated in your purchase offer. This does not restrict a refund or other remedy required by law or Paddle's applicable terms.

7. File deletion and leaving Doculane

Download what you need before requesting deletion or ending access. Authorized users can request individual file deletion. An authorized owner can use Settings → Data & privacy → Delete all files after the required identity confirmation. This removes received files and pending uploads in that workspace and clears members' recent searches. It keeps the account, contacts, company settings and subscription. Some delivery references and dates remain. Deleting files does not cancel billing.

Accepted deletion requests stop new access to the selected files and continue through background cleanup, including waiting for earlier upload permissions to expire. Status and retry controls are available in Settings. Completion confirms removal from active service, not expiry of every backup or outside copy. Previously authorized transfers may finish, and downloaded files, delivered emails and external Drive copies cannot be recalled by this process.

To close your account or workspace and request deletion of the remaining customer information, email info@doculane.app. We verify your identity and authority, coordinate cancellation of any subscription and remove workspace content from active systems as part of closure. Canceling renewal alone is not a complete account-closure request. Limited records may remain where necessary for billing, legal obligations, security, disputes and enforcing deletion instructions; backup and provider residual copies expire separately as described in our Privacy policy. We do not retain customer documents indefinitely merely because billing records must be kept.

8. Availability, suspension and responsibility

We work to maintain the service but do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, a specific recovery time or certifications not expressly agreed in writing. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or noninfringement.

We may restrict or terminate access for material breach, nonpayment, security threats, unlawful use or legal requirements. We provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue when reasonably possible, and reasonable assistance retrieving content where lawful and safe. Urgent action may be necessary without advance notice.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages or lost profits arising from these Terms. Blop Digital LLC's total liability under these Terms is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amounts you paid for Doculane in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not exclude fraud, willful misconduct or liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and do not alter Paddle's separate responsibilities to you.

9. Changes, law and contact

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will provide notice of material changes by email or in the product before they take effect, except where immediate changes are necessary for law or security. A change requiring fresh acceptance will be presented for acceptance. The version and effective date will identify the applicable text.

Florida law governs the relationship between you and Blop Digital LLC, excluding conflict-of-law rules and subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. Disputes under these Terms may be brought in the competent state or federal courts serving Broward County, Florida. This does not change the law or dispute terms governing your separate purchase from Paddle. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
